Every variety we grow, with the planting data from forty years of trials on our own Hill Country acres — sowing depth, germination window, bloom period, coverage and seeding rate per acre.
Eight varieties shown in this prototype. The full catalog runs to 160+ seed, mix, herb and native grass varieties — every one already has this data written for it.
The PDF is still here. Download it, print it, mark it up in the truck. Nothing is taken away — the catalog simply also exists as pages that Google, ChatGPT and every other search tool can actually read.
Wildseed Farms' catalog currently lives on a third-party flipbook host. We tested how machines see it.
Requesting the catalog as Googlebot returns HTTP 202 and zero bytes. A normal browser gets HTTP 200 and 17KB. The host also blocks its own robots.txt behind a CloudFront 403.
Forty years of species descriptions, sowing rates, germination windows and regional guidance are invisible to Google — and invisible to every AI answer engine.
Every variety becomes a real page with real text. Species names, botanical names and planting data all become indexable for the first time.
Each entry links straight to its own product page. No round trip through the menu, no hunting. 396 people a month click into the catalog — today they hit a dead end.
AI answer engines cite educational sources. This is the educational content — it just needs to be readable. Wildseed currently holds 0.42% share of voice in AI answers about seeds.
Download and print remain exactly as they are. This adds a surface, it does not remove one.
